My work deals with notions of deceit, pretence and contradiction, often set within a historical context. I view history as a fragile and vulnerable concept, open to corrupt and subversive forces and in a playful way much of my work responds to these ideas. A sense of narrative and storytelling is very important to me: I work across disciplines often combining sculptural objects with audio and text. I have also used CCTV technology, performance, and devised installations using smells. Audio is a key component of my practice; I have a musical background, which is where my interest in sound began.
